Logline: As North Vietnamese armor races to the one bridge that stands between them and a breakthrough and the slaughter of fleeing troops and civilians, Capt. John Ripley dangles from the girders. With bullets ricocheting around him and battling intense fatigue, he manhandles 500 pounds of explosives into position to destroy it.
